Here is a lovely story from Kati (HANNAH social worker) about the recent HANNAH Christmas celebration.
“We had a blessed time with the HANNAH children, some parents and volunteers celebrating together the birthday of Jesus. I explained to the children that God came to the earth to be with us. The Almighty God! Then I noticed Sofia, our youngest HANNAH child (5 months old), in the arms of her mother. Innocent. I asked the children ‘Can you image our almighty God being so small?’ ‘No’ was the answer. ‘God is big and almighty’ they said. Then I told them: God went through every age, 5 months old, 4 years old, 5-6-7 years old, 10-12-15-17 years old. So, HE knows how it is to be child, teenager and so on. He knows you the best, your fears, your joy, your thoughts, your heart. Please bring your heart, and give it like a gift for the new born Child, Jesus, like the kings did. Bring here, to the manger because only Jesus can wash it totally. The best ever Christmas gift.
Emmanuel “God with us” (Matthew 1:23) is the name of the child predicted in Isaiah 7:14: “Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel”. God is with us, and if I look back to the past year I can see his miracles, his work in the life of HANNAH. Thank you for being with us, praying for us, supporting our work.”

• HANNAH families Christmas celebration. Hearing about the significance of Christmas, singing songs, sharing presents, food, hugs and a special visit from Jaapje the puppet.
